and even though i laugh it off, man its probably true.
A shot of Drake’s Aaliyah tattoo surfaced last month. Now a workin in progress Drizzy gave us a closer look at his back tats, which include Aaliyah’s face, a bird in flight, and the OVO owl. It looks like he has been working out as he prepares to launch his “Club Paradise” tour in Miami on Valentine’s Day
Drake’s love for Aaliyah is no secret. As evident when he sampled Aaliyah’s “At Your Best (You Are Love)” on his debut Thank Me Later, on the Unforgettable, one of my personal favourties. Aaliyah’s face appears on the left side of his back with a pair of wings above it. Now he’ll always have an angel watching over him.

Drizzy talks about his new tour and drawing from performances of Jimi Hendrix and Eminem for inspiration. The visuals are upped for his ‘Light, Dreams & nightmares‘ Tour to deliver a complete package. Also, he slipped in that he has a new song with Rihanna for her album :O. Drake ponders reshooting his video for Fancy as he had another great idea for it visually, this goes to show the creative process he undertakes alongside Anthony Mandler. The new song with weezy off his 8th studio album ‘I Am Not A Human Being‘ ’Gonorrhea‘ also gets a mention.
Watch the full interview with MTV here.

My favourite off the album
especially the bit where he breaks it d-o-w-n. Trey suprised fans buy bringing Drizzy out on stage during his show in LA.
The single comes out in the uk on October 11th! The artwork features fancy red heels and if you look closely the woman has a young angel tattoo on her heel. Artwork again done by Darkie.

Weezy shot his part before prison (obviously) and Drake just finished his individual part the other day. The video directed by Anthony Mandler should be coming real soon. This is the 3rd single off Thank Me Later.
Drake working on new album and shoots 2 videos.

Only a month after releasing his debut album Thank Me Later, Drake is already on to the next one.
Drizzy who’s usually more reserved on twitter announced “Started my new album last night too…ok I’m done…” he wrote. “Miss me video tmrw at 9am…tipsy…maybe? naaaaaaah….maybe tho.” to his 800,000+ followers.
Also, director Anthony Mandler who’s responsible for both ‘Over‘ and ‘Find Your Love‘ posted on his facebook ‘Heading to set to shoot ‘Miss Me‘ with Drake…there’s no rules today..should be interesting…tomorrow Fancy’ which is good news because ‘Fancy‘ seems to be a fan favourtite and also a personal favourite of mine. Swizz Beats is a monster as usual and T.I and Drake both do their thang respectively.
Oh you fancy.huh?

The creation of a great album cover.

Later graffiti stylised and retouched.

Drakes debut album Thank Me Later bowed with an astounding 447,000 copies at No.1 in its first week. It’s the third-best sales week of the year for a single album. The top two sales weeks of 2010 are owned by Sade‘s “Soldier of Love” (502,000 off its debut week in February) and Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now” (481,000 in its first frame in January). And since both Lady Antebellum and Sade are technically groups, “Thank Me Later’s” start is also the biggest debut week for a solo act’s album since Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed a Dream” entered at No. 1 with 701,000 upon its release last November.
Some, expeceted him to do a million just like Wayne, who himself suggested Drake would do double that in his first week. But the economic climate has changed drastically and its harder for a hip-hop artist, or any artist at that to sell an album.
