Thank Me Later Process

The creation of  a great album cover.

2 spray paint stencils first in red and then black on top.

Later graffiti stylised and retouched.

Follow me, Follow me,Tweet, tweet xD

Because they “have a similar flow,” chart-topper Drake and Jimmy Kimmel decided to collaborate on a Twitter-inspired rap video that aired during last night’s (June 24) episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

They also quote other celebrities’ frivolous Twitter musings. Among the more notable faces quoted are Larry King, Britney Spears and Justin Bieber. The two also sport matching white suits (and Drake wears a doo rag!), dance and emulate Twitter’s signature Bluebirds for good measure. “Why write a song yourself when celebrities are tweeting so many great things?,” Kimmel asks Drake. Why, indeed xD

What if I dont really do the numbers they predict?

Drakes debut album Thank Me Later bowed with an astounding 447,000 copies at No.1 in its first week. It’s the third-best sales week of the year for a single album. The top two sales weeks of 2010 are owned by Sade‘s “Soldier of Love” (502,000 off its debut week in February) and Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now” (481,000 in its first frame in January). And since both Lady Antebellum and Sade are technically groups, “Thank Me Later’s” start is also the biggest debut week for a solo act’s album since Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed a Dream” entered at No. 1 with 701,000 upon its release last November.

Some, expeceted him to do a million just like Wayne, who himself suggested Drake would do double that in his first week. But the economic climate has changed drastically and its harder for a hip-hop artist, or any artist at that to sell an album.

Lovebox: Expect The Unexpected Promo

Lovebox 2010 runs from 16th – 18th July in Victoria Park, London. I love the rawness of this and the genuineness of it. In a way it epitomises everything London and the Underground :)

Drake and his Gears of War

In somewhat of a surprise announcement Drake has been confirmed to be the voice of a playable character in the final instalment of the Gears Of War Trilogy. Developed by Epic Games the Gears Of War series has been one of the biggest franchises in gaming history, with best selling books and upcoming film deriving from it. Drake, much like our own JME, has admitted to being a huge fan of the series…

“When Epic came to me with the role, I couldn’t pass it up,” said Drake. “They’ve created an amazing character in Jace, and I’m looking forward to my tour in Delta Squad.” The character, one of the key players in the comic books will be playable through the new 4-player co-operative mode. Epic Executive Producer Rod Fergusson explained how the idea came about. “When we began casting for the role, ‘So Far Gone’ had just released and Drake’s combination of heart and grit was just what wewere looking for,” says Rod. “Rather than search for somebody who sounded like him, it was clear that we should approach him directly, fortunately heturned out to be a huge fan.”

Although this isn’t completely new territory to Drake, as he has a lot of acting experience, it’s another string to the bow of the seemingly unstoppable Canuck.
